Exciting Project

As much as our Art class at school could sometimes be such a drag, today the teacher caught my attention with an interesting project.  We will be creating posters using our Photographer skills. Now not just any kind of poster, we are going to be creating our own propaganda.  We are in groups of three, i’m very excited to see what everyone is going to come up with! ..  I wont be releasing information yet as to what our project is, but enjoy our inspiration picture in the mean time.

Their are 3 ways to reading any type of propaganda.

1- To see, but without really looking.  What you see at first glance.

2- Then you need to think about the concept, what is it trying to sell, a product? a service? an idea? a philosophy? a promise or a dream? Are they trying to send out a message? Putting their slogan out there? or maybe its to document something?  Everyone could have a different perspective on this end.

3- Nous its to really bring out the hidden messages or ‘subliminal’ messages.
